In reference to the 'blood moons' ...it seems to me that there is more eagerness than arrogance.

When the wise men (or magi) began to follow the different star ...it would not seem to me that God would go ahead and have His Son born on earth to save the reputation of the men traveling from afar, so they would not ruin their credibility as wise men.

God had set it up so they would be interested in the star. And I don't think He is disappointed by the interest by those anticipating His return.

When He says, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and a sign will not be given it, except the sign of Jonah." ---Matthew 16:4     

Well, we certainly are that ...and that may actually be more of a sign.  We may be eager for a sign ...but it will not be the foundation of our faith.  There will be more signs we will reject, not as mere moons or stars ...but as a reflection of a society's rejection of God's principles.  Power and conviction often challenge each other in the public square.

Itching ears is a term used in the Bible to describe a person who seeks out messages that please them and fit their lifestyle, as opposed to seeking a truth that might make them uncomfortable. 

2 Timothy 4:3-4: For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 

And speaking of fables, it is very disturbing what is happening.  Not only is there an attempt to remove God from consideration with the theories of evolution held in such high esteem ...the political/educational system teams together to label as intolerant any stand of conviction. Added to those attacks is an assault on the credibility of how men of the Bible are presented.

I've read of the heart of King David, though not perfect ...he was not defiant against God, as I've seen depicted.  And more recent, though going back further in the Bible ...was the representation of Noah.  God had chosen him to survive, as the only righteous family of eight ...with him at the head, presented in a movie as an insane wild man.  Wouldn't that imply that the One who choosing that kind of character is also suspect?  And even more recently, I hear of a claim that Jesus was married. I am fully aware that there are always insane claims.  But, the worst is ...seeing and hearing how many people fall for it.
